Nova Scotia amends "Human Rights Act"

1974 Nova Scotia amends its Human Rights Act to prohibit employment discrimination against the physically handicapped. However, the legislation specifies that the prohibition does not apply in cases “where the nature and extent of the physical disability [or mental disability] reasonably precludes performance of a particular employment or activity.”
